What do you think when men say “if you want act like a man I’ll treat you like a man“ in regards to psychical altercations between men and women?
I think it is a lie. I think it means: “if you rebel against your assigned submissive gender role, and reclaim your own autonomy as a complex human being worthy of dignity, I will punish you for it with violence to maintain my own privilege and subjugate you”
