^^^ Adding to that – how BLIND does a person have to be to think that men aren’t considered defective women and stupider than women? When I’m around other women I hear shit like that ALL THE TIME. I used to work at a place where most of my coworkers constantly talked about how women are just naturally smarter than men and went on and on about all the ways in which men suck and women are better. It pissed me off so much and it’s one of the main reasons I quit.
I hear the same shit 70% of the time when I walk past a random group of women in conversation.
I had a coworker at my new job who left to have a baby, but my first couple months at the job while she was still here, she complained ENDLESSLY about boys, especially her boyfriend and her male students. She constantly talked about how violent and stupid and annoying boys are…meanwhile a particular one year old baby boy student hugged her legs and smiled and said her name and said he loved her. She taught one year olds, and she had such an obvious double standard between the boy and girl. She was literally bitching about the one year old boys in her class throwing tantrums while she snapped and yelled at them and was generally just a mean teacher. Of course they’re throwing tantrums ya nutjob, they hate it here, because of you. Meanwhile all the baby girls were doing the exact same things the baby boys were doing, crying over the same silly things (that’s what babies DO) and she was just being sweet and comforting with them the way she should have been to all the babies. The same girl also, while 9 months pregnant, told everyone how relieved she was that she was having a girl and not a boy, and told us she would have cried for days if she found out she was having a boy. She constantly talked about how much her baby’s father annoyed her. I know it sounds like I’m exaggerating; I’m not. This shit’s all I ever heard her talk about.
Young boys are punished for being themselves; for being excitable and curious and hands-on in terms of learning new things. “Girls who want to learn something new will do it calmly and quietly, why can’t you? What’s wrong with you? Boys are so annoying.”
But if a girl is excitable and curious and hands-on, she’s seen as a strong girl who will grow into a strong woman one day and be president. Double standard much?
Men ARE seen as defective women. They 100% are. Women are c o n s t a n t l y complaining that men don’t/can’t do the things they do, while blatantly ignoring all the things men do every day that we can’t/won’t do.
And don’t give me any of that “well men do it to us and they do it worse so it’s okay” bullshit because I’m not six fucking years old like you are. Not only is that untrue – yes a lot of men do the same thing to women, but women complain about men WAY more – but it’s so beyond childish, it’s actually mind blowing how blind you are to your own immaturity. “He called me a dumby! He started it!!!” is not a valid excuse for punching your classmate in the face. Grow the fuck up.
