I’m sorry that happened to you but this post was about flirting, not sexual assault. I was analyzing general behaviour, of course there will always be exceptions. Not all woman are “pure” but most abusers are men. Just because you can’t relate doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Before I figured out I was trans, I was constantly pressured into sex by my lesbian ex girlfriend, often very aggressively. I was much smaller than her so sometimes she would go on top of me and won’t let me move until I kissed her. It made me feel insanely uncomfortable, and I was actually scared that she would sexually assault me at some point so I broke up with her before that could happen.

Women are 100% capable of being predatory and forceful. They’re capable of raping. They’re capable of anything a man is capable of, and I’m tired of people like OP and the person who responded infantilizing women like that.

The lgbt community has a domestic abuse problem. People in same sex relationships experience the same amount, if not more, domestic violence than people in straight relationships.

I don’t mean to be a dick by saying this. Its just something that people don’t address enough, out of fear of being called homophobic. We, as a community, need to talk about this.

I may have never flirted in my entire life because I have no idea how, but I’m at least 90% sure that the male side of flirting doesn’t sound like “YOU SHOULD GET IN THE KITCHEN AND MAKE BABIES. YOU’RE BAD AT MATH. WOMEN ARE INFERIOR.”
