NEWSFLASH: The police were formed as a patrol for runaway slaves – for black people, not “poor people,” and not poor white people.
Stop conflating classism with racism. They *are* closely related, but they’re also two completely different things. White people (and white passing people) only have to deal with classism. Black people and other NBPoC have to deal with both classism AND racism.
