a white privilege experiment happened tonight, after curfew.

several groups of white allies went to predominantly white neighborhoods, in the city, to protest after curfew. they received more than two warnings, and someone was even offered a ride home–by the police. they were given the opportunity to disperse, and a police captain was heard telling a crowd he supports their efforts.

minutes away, in a predominantly black neighborhood also in the city, folks are being pepper sprayed, and violently arrested.

this is that bullshit.
fuck that curfew and the police too.

But white supremacy isn’t real???? White people get SPECIAL TREATMENT

Where’s the proof?

“#i see no evidence to back this post” “#could be just used for propaganda judging by OP blog”

oh i’m sorry proof? my actual living here and witnessing this everyday isn’t enough? proof? like this video of a captain telling people he doesn’t want to arrest anyone?

this is the difference between being home and being in fed hill but both are soutshide

I KNEW THEY WERE GONNA TRY IT OUT IN HAMPDEN!!!! Listen, Hampden is like a cleaner Williamsburg, with artisanal french fry shops and stores that smell like blue cypress trees (this is a literal description of two places there, not a funny exaggeration). This community is the perfect example of gentrification. I wish people would rally over there and shut it the fuck down.

We asked a cop why people were being arrested for nothing he said “If we could arrest all of you we might"

Officer:” … more fires in the street. Looting and burning.”

Person 1: [offscreen] “ You arrested my brother who did nothing!”

Person 2: [offscreen, voice overlaps] “ He was pulled off of the sidewalk!”

Officer: “ I’m not gonna- I’m not gonna-tonight I’m not-but you’re brother spent hours marching in the street, and we have that on film-”

Person 1: “ And we do too.”

Person 2: “ And he got arrested for what?”

Person 1: “We’re not allowed to do that?”

Officer: [interjecting] “ And that is unlawful, and if we could arrest all of you, we might.”

so your right to peaceful protest is revoked if you’re black…
