When you unexpectedly achieve your dream but everyone else brought mascara.
how is this funny? this is really sad. All the male athletes have to do is perform well in their sport (which is what matters), and they’ll be taken seriously and respected. But women have to not only do that, but also be sufficiently “pretty” in order to be respected. And she knows this, to the point where she won’t show her NATURAL face even after such a big achievement because of the pressure women face to be dolled up and beautiful at all times.
It’s massively fucked up and I don’t understand how anyone could ever think this is funny.
I’m so tired of people acting like this pressure doesn’t exist, as if women don’t have to fear judgment about our appearance in a way that men never will.

“the idea that mtf brains are feminized and ftm brains are masculinized has been rejected.” False

this 2016 review of ALL trans brain studies says that if you squint really hard, the theory will sort of apply to post-hrt homosexual trans people but not nonhomosexual ones 🤔 meaning that gay trans men and lesbian trans women do not have cross-sexed brains 🤔 which also means that the “markers” they found are actually for homosexuality, not transsexualism 🤔

you: women are oppressed because of their gender
me, an intellectual: gender is the method by which women are oppressed
Don’t Forget That Men are the Oppressors! Men Benefit from Women’s Oppression!
Don’t act like patriarchy doesn’t benefit anyone, that it oppresses men and women “equally”.
That’s a fucking farce.
Because of patriarchy, women’s bodily autonomy is up for debate, we are seen as sex objects and incubators which exist to serve men.
Men are still human beings with rights.
The gender role of masculinity benefits them.
Even their whole “not crying” thing? Benefits them, it’s designed to make men look more powerful to the children. And yet a man’s wife will still end up doing the emotional labor of comforting him while he cries in private, all so he can look strong in the public eye.
Stop acting like men and women are equally oppressed, that isn’t fucking true.
“Men are still human beings with rights,” you’re saying that like it’s a bad thing.
OP doesn’t give examples of how the patriarchy actually benefits anyone, or that it even exists.
Most women are naturally more emotional than men. That’s just nature. If anything, this may benefit women because they’re aloud to show emotion and not be seen as “weak” or be laughed at. Men have to try harder to be stoic.
If men have to try harder to be stoic than women then doesn’t that mean they aren’t naturally less emotional?
I see adult men get easily upset over even the smallest challenge or slight (perceived or otherwise). They display this all over the internet.
Men are often (hyper) emotional it is just that it isn’t recognised as such because they do it in aggressive and masculine ways which are socially acceptable and culturally protected.
Men get excused for their emotional behaviour while women are demonised for even so much as raising their voice when they are being interrupted or she is stressed (harpy, bitch, how dare she talk back!!!).
The gender norms about emotional expression differ from culture to culture and change over time. In some societies/era a woman expressing too much emotion is frowned upon and in some societies/eras men showing open emotion (depending on the context) was seen as a virtue.
Women are all throughout history have been painted as hysterical (go research the history of that word), crazy, power hungry, simple minded, a mystery to men, temptresses, conniving yet childlike for displaying or not displaying emotion and these attitudes have not disappeared over the centuries.
You should read up on the history of misogyny, sexism and men’s perceptions of women.

When are they going to realise it doesn’t work?
This should be the dictionary definition of gender.
Gender vs Sex: Antifeminist, Transactivist and Feminist Interpretations – Magdalen Berns
“For the transactivists’ hypothesis to be consistent, we would have to forget everything we know about the reproductive biology of human beings. Everything. We would also have to assume that culture has no impact whatsoever on human behaviour, despite the wealth of evidence that contradicts both those assumptions and the complete absence of evidence supporting those assumptions.”
We Need to Stop Saying ‘Women Are Half The World’s Population’ – The Establishment
I’m in hell.
Here is the worst parts.
“Feminists, I have a pet peeve that I really want to talk about. Namely, this business about women being half the population.Have you heard this before? An activist is explaining why focusing on
women’s rights is so necessary, and as they passionately make their
case, they tack onto the end of their speech, “After all, women make up
half the world’s population!”“
“Here’s the thing: I believe in intersectional feminism.
I sure hope you do, too. I don’t see this “women are half the world”
thing as being intersectional, nor do I see it as being correct.
And perhaps most importantly, I don’t see it as a step in the right
direction: It marginalizes other people in a heck of a lot of ways,
trying to uplift women at the expense of others—specifically people of
marginalized gender and sex.
Not cool.”
“f we want to make a case for women’s equality around the world, we
need to do it in a way that doesn’t erase or harm people of other
genders and identities. We need to be bringing in a more intersectional
approach. It’s time we did away with this talking point once and for all.
Because as you’ll see, it’s not doing women—or anyone else, for that
matter—any favors.“
“And more importantly, it doesn’t include trans women. Since this is a
percentage that relies on assignment at birth, we’re inherently
excluding transgender women—who have a different birth assignment—in
favor of propping up cisgender women.“
“Menstruation is often held up as a rite of passage for women, and yet transgender women do not have this experience, numerous transgender men and non-binary people do, and plenty of cisgender women do not have a menstrual cycle (or have an atypical cycle) for various reasons.”
“You could easily argue that women are more diverse than they are
similar—but that doesn’t mean they can’t unite to fight patriarchy
together.“
Yet here we are.
