We stopped carding. And while the problem with the native canadian gangs is still prevalent in the prairies, at least we fucking know about it, and there has been progress made. Substantive documentaries about the aboriginal reserves and gangs are mandatory in the education system. Even though the currents political leaders are sitting on their ass about this, at least the next generation is aware.

The Unites States has a HUGE problem with systematically discriminating against First Nations and black people, but y’all don’t even fucking talk about your first nations.

So rejecting immigrant families who want to come to Canada, or deporting a family who has been living here awaiting citizenship and or residency, who work or intend to do so, say a professor at a major university and his wife, and asking them to leave on the basis that they have a disabled child who would somehow be a drain on the Canadian system is okay?

As far as First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples in Canada, has there really been progress though, when there are several communities in Ontario alone who have gone for years without clean drinking water? When communities like the Grassy Narrows reserve are suffering from mercury poisoning, When Attawapiskat still lives in abject poverty, When First Nations reserves have recently seen mass waves of youth suicides which is directly related to said poverty When Provincial and Federal governments keep pushing their pipelines and other projects on to Aboriginal territory?  Yes, now finally the government acknowledges the wrongdoing of residential schools and have committed to points within the Truth and Reconciliation documents but progress? If this is progress our government is moving at a pace slower than a turtle.

Canada treats their immigrants like shit. I am temporarily living here and I am leaving in a few months to never go back to this hell.

Canadians saying Canada is good to immigrants infuriates me. Do you know how many Canadians that I talked to had any idea about all the bullshit immigrants have to pass through? Zero. Fucking zero. You guys couldn’t care less. You ask for ‘high-skilled immigrants’ but still expect us to work for minimum wage in undervalued jobs, at the same time that you dare complain we are ‘stealing’ your jobs.
