Identifying as non binary or genderqueer does nothing to destroy the gender binary. It in fact enforces it by saying everyone who IDs as a man or woman, falls strictly into those gender roles that have been pushed onto us, and doesn’t deviate from those norms.
When you think of man and woman as personality/identity categories, in which gender roles are intertwined (women wear dresses/act in a certain way etc) the grip of the gender binary is tightened as anyone GNC is pushed out and further isolated.
When you think of man and woman as nothing more than biological categories (male and female) we are free from gender roles. A woman can be anything she wants to be. We can break those chains, but we can’t do it while simultaneously following postmodern gender theory.

The concept of ‘cisgender’ or ‘cissexism’ doesn’t make sense and it’s implications are anti feminist. Feminism is about women not males who claim to be women. Feminism is female centric for a reason. The end goal of feminism is ending patriarchy not making up new ‘genders‘ (which does not address female oppression).

people need to make up their mind! Either sex and gender are one in the same, or they aren’t. If they’re the same thing, then transwomen can’t exist because there’s no need to transition. If they’re NOT the same thing, then transwomen are biologically male (sex) who experience dysphoria and therefore transition from man to woman. There is no stable argument, I swear, it’s “whatever works in this case” or something… which, would make one fail a basic deductive reasoning course…

The whole thing is a mess. They say “Trans women have female bodies because they say they do!” Well, but if they say they do, then why is the alternative term for them “Male to Female”? If they say they do, then why transition? If they say they do, then why are they dysphoric?
It doesn’t make any sense, it’s not internally consistent and it changes depending on who the Big Name of the day is.
It’s like reading shitty fanfiction–nothing makes sense and everyone’s contradicting themselves.
Seems like that’s what you get when your movement is based on individualism and personal freedom. On that front, I don’t really care how people choose to see themselves and define themselves; it’s when they think they have a right to dictate to me how I’m “allowed” to behave, then I have a problem.
The current trans movement is very much like a religion that tries to force even non-believers to follow its dictates.
It is impossible to talk to them because they can’t keep their story straight.
This is why I became gender critical/abolitionist to be honest. There were so many flaws and contradictions everywhere, and nothing made sense because it wasn’t consistent.
Because queer theory/trans politics is is based on individual identity (self concept and feelings) so pretty much every thing they say is subjective. They over complicate things that are simple and can’t explain why they are right they just say things like ‘lmao‘, ‘lolololol‘ or ‘that’s transphobic’ to well thought out arguments. Just asking what they mean by anything is like pulling teeth. You would think that they would want people to understand their positions instead of writing long paragraphs that don’t really say anything.
