“Consensual sex” is just sex. To say that implies that there is such a thing as “non consensual sex”, which there isn’t. That’s rape. That is what it needs to be called. There is only sex or rape. Do not teach people that rape is just another type of sex. They are two very separate events. You wouldn’t say “breathing swimming” and “non breathing swimming”, you say swimming and drowning.

There is real evil in this world, you can’t legislate it away, you can’t ignore it away, and you can’t wish it away, evil is evil
Sadly this is the kind of thing that won’t get much attention on Tumblr. Tumblr will spend months talking about one girl dragging her mattress around campus protesting an alleged rape and yet when an undisputed mass rape of little girls like this happens Tumblr will ignore it because Tumblr always whitewashes the negative actions of POC and Muslims. If the rapists had been White fratboys these poor girls wouldn’t be ignored by Tumblr.
STOP. You apparently don’t follow the right people. There is a substantial amount of people on here talking about this. Stop that guilt trip nonsense and spread info much as you can without that kind of propaganda.
^^Thank You
^^ Super thank you. And calling the girl dragger her mattress around campus an “alleged” rape is part of the reason people are still scared to speak up against rape. Like, shut up please
When white teachers call colonizers “explorers” to make them seem like brave people with an adventurous curiosity instead of genocidal, european supremacist bastards who wanted to exchange blood for money.
When white teachers explain mixed race children saying colonizers “fell in love” with native women to make them seem loving men instad of rapists and murderers.
THIS IS WHAT MEN’S RIGHTS ACTIVISM LOOKS LIKE
I don’t want regular, so-called “nice guys” to bend backwards to distance themselves from this. If men want to be of any help to feminists, they should confront the way “MRAs are acting in the collective male interest which is keeping women down, i.e. misogyny. In fact, the existence of MRA/anti-feminist ideologies are very good markers for how society (specifically men) view women.”
I read over the comments and a lot of the mras on this thread are into violent fetishes like choking, hitting and other violent and degrading things. When mras sound like doms or are into bdsm and other misogynist kink maybe people should start making the obvious connection.
Here is what the commenters are saying:
“it’s technically rape but the kind she enjoys it” (no just no)
“Try choking them(women), they love that, slow even pressure“
(women don’t like being choked why do we even need to say this?)
“Who cares whether or not she says no just rape her“ (he’s a rapist)
Claiming a rape scene in 300 was there to appeal to women (?????).
“Honset question: if a woman says ‘I want you to rape me’ is it still rape?“ (is this the rapist’s version of ‘if a tree falls in a forest’?)
Pretty much all of the commenters on that reddit thread have a rape mentality.

Of 260 untested rape kits, Chattanooga area officials say only 11 still merit investigation
Victims who report a rape can be hit with a barrage of questions.
Where did it happen? And when? Who was the rapist?
Do you want to undergo a forensic evaluation?
The contents of that exam, commonly known as a rape test kit, are held by the investigating agency and, in theory, processed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. That process can take more than a year, and as the 2013 revelation that Memphis had more than 12,000 untested rape kits revealed, is sometimes never completed at all.
That revelation has prompted new legislation, a class-action lawsuit and a national search for funding.
“The Memphis thing put a big spotlight on everybody,” Hamilton County District Attorney General Neal Pinkston said.
According to the TBI, Tennessee still has a backlog of 9,062 untested kits. Almost 7,000 of those come from Memphis, where officials say 16 suspects have already been identified from kits that finally were tested.
Untested kits in Hamilton County and the surrounding area make up only 260 of Tennessee’s total number. But local officials say they’ve spent months going back through each untested kit and analyzing the merits of each case. They’ve whittled their lists down even farther in an effort to determine which kits will be tested and which will be destroyed.
The result is only 11 untested kits that officials say could yield a prosecution.
For the sake of argument, let’s say that the process they “whittled their lists down” with is valid and saves the county a substantial amount of money that could be better spent.
Now consider that Tennessee tests welfare applicants for drug use (granted, not all applicants have to give a specimen, but all are subjected to a questionairre that determines whether to take a specimen). In the 2nd half of 2014, 13% of those who had to give a specimen failed. Looking at all applicants rather than just those who had to give a specimen, that’s 0.2% of all applicants (Source: Tennessee’s Drug Tests Of Welfare Recipients Find 37 Drug Users).
So they can afford to waste all kinds of money to find out that someone who’s financially strapped takes the occasional toke, but they can’t afford to go after actual criminals who rape people.

Documentary days! Rape or sexual assault are so common I think in most or all girls life, either it’s themselves been exposed or someone has close to them, or almost everyone. I don’t even get sad, angry or surprised anymore.
Angry.
So as some might know from reading this blog, I am an attorney who litigates criminal cases (all violent crimes, specifically rapes, murders and robberies and usually a combination thereof). I do a very specific kind of work. A kind that is a microcosm of the larger system.
