reddit has proven itself once again to be nothing but a cesspool of extremely hateful racist misogynist white people.

this wasn’t just some handful of racist and sexist remarks here and there on twitter and elsewhere on social media, this was a major mass campaign, hundreds of thousands signed some change petition, reddit’s entire frontpage was filled overtaken with nothing but vicious nasty racist and sexist attacks against Ellen Pao, that included death threats and rape threats. it’s sickening how redditors and now tumblrs here are trying to justify any of this, it’s beyond fucking sickening.

Radical Feminists have to create multiple dummy accounts to share documented truth on the internet. We do this because we fear for our safety when we get so many threats of violence and doxxing. But these people post their faces and often their names and personal info while spewing the most vile, hateful racism and misogyny with absolutely no fear of retaliation or even social ostracism. THIS IS WHAT PRIVILEGE LOOKS LIKE.
