Romania’s Impressive Democratic Movement: The World is Watching
This short video helping to explain what’s happening now in Romania may be shared by citizens, organisations and news broadcasters. It is free for re-use / distribution by organisations and news programmes to help inform people about what is taking place now in Romania. Thank you to Druidul Cezar for his brilliant work in making this piece possible, and, first and foremost, to the incredible people of Romania – to the citizens standing up for their rights, for the parents encouraging their children to take part, parents bringing their children out with them, students, elderly, writers, journalists, performers, artists and civic organisations helping to inspire, encourage and empower people to stand up for their rights. This movement is building upon years of civic engagement and citizens discovering that they have the power to make their voices heard, and to ensure government is accountable and answers to them. This movement is growing. It will not stop until it has succeeded.
