I don’t want to say I was “looking forward” to this scene, but neither can I say I wasn’t extremely interested in how it was going to go over or that I fucking loved what they did with it.
Usagi’s expression in that final cap is fucking perfection, she is so angry and upset and disgusted in this moment. She’s woken up in a strange place, in a strange bed, this hologram of her like a fucking monument in the middle of the room, she’s been dressed (touched and undressed and then redressed) while she was unconscious, and then Prince Demand walks in, smirking and asking if she likes it.
This is one of those itmes where I think SMC improved on the manga, where she’s more shocked and traumatized, here you see her very clearly expressing that this is not okay in any fucking way and that she’s upset as hell about this, as she absolutely should be.
I feel like, so far in this scene (this is a liveblog, remember), that Demand is every romanticized trope of kidnapping the heroine and idealizing her and obsessing over her, while Usagi is “do not fucking want, this is not okay” so very clearly that I’m sitting here eating this up like candy.
